The 25-year-old scored his debut goal for the Blood and Gold in a 3-0 league game against Olympique du Kef helping the former Africa champions to bag all the spoils.
Clottey said although he had been waiting for this moment to score for the Tunisian giants, he felt it was a dream until the whole stadium went agog.
“I knew it will come and God has always been good to me,” the former Berekum Chelsea talisman told Goal.com Ghana. “I just couldn’t hold back that great feeling and it takes away some amount of pressure.”
“I believe this is just the beginning. I’m grateful to God. I trust He’ll make me shine as I keep training hard to bang in the goals as I used to in the Caf Champions League for Berekum Chelsea.”
Clottey has been a household name on the continent after helping his former club, Berekum Chelsea to the quarter-final stage of the elite inter-club competition of Africa, where he bagged 12 goals in their debut appearance.
