Iranian side Damash Gilan to offer Stephen Appiah lifeline after Persepolis move hit a snag

Iranian side Damash Gilan Sporting Club are eager to offer former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah a lifeline after a supposed move to champions Persepolis failed to materialised.

According to the official website of the Iranian football league, Damash are keen on signing the veteran playmaker and have begun talks with him.

The Rasht-based club, who finished 7th in the Iranian Pro league last season will part with an amount of $1 million for the 31-year-old former Juventus, Fernerbahce and Parma star.

Appiah would become the first foreign player to wear the jersey of the club which was formed on October 11, 2008.
