The ex-Porcupine Warriors player will be earning $4000 monthly as compared to Awako’s $2000
Although the amount paid for the services of the former Berekum Chelsea player was high, his wages are low as compared to the Porcupine Warriors player.
Awako, who was bought by the Congolese champions TP Mazembe for $400,000 would receive a monthly wage of $2000 whilst Adjei bought at $200,000 would receive $4000 a month, Goal.com Ghana can exclusively reveal.
According to a management member of the Kumasi club, who wants to remain anonymous, Kotoko decided to receive less on Adjei because the player has served the club diligently and would want him to get more in terms of his personal wage.
Adjei has signed a two-year deal with the Ravens costing $200, 000 of which a down payment of $100, 000 had been made with the remaining going into the construction of the Kotoko Youth Academy project.
