China-based Ghana defender, Lee Addy, is targeting a place in Black Stars' 2013 Africa Cup of Nations squad.
The 22-year-old has already played in the last two Afcon tournaments, but risk missing out of the team for the 2013 edition due to the tight competition in defense.
The Dalian Aerbin player who can play both as a central and left-back defender has had limited call-ups since Kwesi Appiah took over as head coach of the four-time African champions in April this year.
Recently, he played for Ghana in the 1-0 victory over Cape Verde in an international friendly after receiving a late invitation following the withdrawal of two players.
“I am seriously thinking about the Nations Cup because we all want to live a legacy by ending the 31-year-trophy drought and I, Lee Addy want to be part of that achievement at the 2013 Afcon,” the former Red Star Belgrade player told Goal.com Ghana.
The Black Stars' handlers will release a provisional squad of 25 players in mid-December.
