The international friendly between the Black Stars and the Carthage Eagles will take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE six days to the 2013 AfconGhana would square off with Tunisia in an international friendly in preparation for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
A statement from the Ghana FA said the Black Stars will play the Carthage Eagles in the United Arab Emirates on January 13, 2013.
"As part of our preparations for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations we have agreed to play Tunisia in a friendly in January," GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi said.
"The match will be played in Abu Dhabi where Ghana will be camping for the tournament.”
He added: "We want to leave no stone unturned in our preparation so a match against one of the top sides in Africa like Tunisia will give the Black Stars the needed test for the Nations Cup."
Ghana will be camping in Abu Dhabi in preparation for the continental showpiece which would be staged in South Africa from January 19.
The Black Stars are drawn in Group B along with Mali, Niger and DR Congo and they will be based at Port Elizabeth.
