Asante Kotoko, three players slapped with $7, 500 fine over misconduct

The Porcupine Warriors and three of their players have gone into the bad books of the Disciplinary Committee for misconduct
Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko and three of its players have been fined a total of $7, 500 (GH¢14,000.00) after being found guilty of misconduct charges during their Glo Premier League match against Heart of Lions on October 21, 2012.

The Porcupine Warriors were fined GH¢5,000.00 by the Disciplinary Committee for the actions of their supporters who held the match officials hostage on the field for five minutes during recess and an hour in their dressing room after the match at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Their players Soulama Abdoulaye, Kwabena Adusei and Ransford Osei were fined GH¢3,000.00 each for misconduct for rushing on the referee after the final whistle thereby inciting supporters to throw objects at the match officials.
