The 26-year-old midfielder who played for both the Black Satellites and the Black Meteors has netted four goals in three games against Ismaili, Harass El Hadood and Tanta putting up man of the match performances.
"I am praying that we start the league soon so that I can prove my worth more and get a chance in the Black Stars," Akwaffo told Goal.com Ghana.
"I am in fantastic form and I am hoping to help my team to the top of the Egyptian league when it starts."
The Egyptian football Association has delayed the start of the domestic season indefinitely because of the February clashes that killed more than 74 people.
