Emmanuel Frimpong set to sign for Thailand’s BEC Tero Sasana

The Porcupine Warriors’ U20 defender hopes to make it in Asia after excelling with the domestic league champions
Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Under-20 star Emmanuel Frimpong is in Thailand to sign for giants BEC Tero Sasana.

The club finished 3rd in this season’s Thailand Premier League.

The 20-year-old left-back was one of the kingpins in the Porcupine Warriors’ team where he spent four successful terms before deciding not to renew his contract with the Kumasi-based club.

“An agent who saw me play in a youth tournament in South Africa where I excelled brought me here [Thailand],” Frimpong told Goal.com Ghana.

“He had early on brought three boys and by the close of next week we will be signing contracts to play for Sasana FC. Thaiport FC are also interested in us.”

Frimpong, who had earlier honed his magnificent talent at Sogakope Red Bulls Academy and Bibiani Gold Star, was one of the players Kotoko paraded when they beat Hearts of Oak 1-0 in a Republic Day Cup in Accra two years ago.
