The striker will be moving to Russia when the winter transfer window opens as already reported by Goal.com Ghana in October
The club announced on its website on Monday that Goal.com Ghana’s story was true and the 21-year-old is set to leave barring any last minute hitch.
“The premier league's top scorer has been surrounded by professional rumors almost the entire season,” a statement on Hacken’s official website said.
“Now it's clear. BK Hacken and Spartak Moscow have agreed on a transfer. Only the details remain.”
On October 22, Goal.com Ghana quoted a source close to the player to have said, “Majeed and his agent are in Russia to finalise talks with the Russian champions and it is certain that he would sign and play for them in January.”
“CSKA Moscow and Zenith St. Petersburg are also interested but for now he is home and dry to play for Spartak,” the source added.
Waris, who has been given a call-up for the Cape Verde friendly on November 13, scored 24 goals in 29 matches to finish the Swedish season as top scorer.
