Ahmed Toure rubbishes Asante Kotoko's arrest claims

The Porcupine Warriors have threatened to arrest their former talisman for allegedly breaching a contract, but he has called their bluff
Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko's Ivorian-import Ahmed Toure has rubbished talks by the team’s management member, Ben Nti, that the club would arrest him and also send him to Fifa as he still has a running contract with them and has chosen to leave the club.

“No one can arrest me, or send me to Fifa,” the striker told the 90 Minutes. “I don’t have any contract with Kumasi Asante Kotoko. I left the club as a free agent.”

“I love Kotoko and would always have love for them, who knows in future I might be there again as I came back the second time.”

Toure is currently in his native Cote D'Ivoire where he is training with one of the top sides to get a deal when the next transfer window opens in the Ivorian league.

The 2010-2011 Ghana Glo Premiership player of the season was consigned to the bench last term under then Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu and he played little part as the Porcupine Warriors won the league.
