The Ghana FA has resorted to the services of a sports psychologist to help solve some problems especially in the team's preparations for matches and tournaments
The Ghana FA has appointed a Psychologist for the Black Stars to help in the preparations of the team for matches and tournaments.
Patrick Ofori who was the psychologist of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko team last season has already started his work as he is currently at the team’s training base in Nairobi.
He holds an MSc. Degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University and currently pursuing a PhD in Sports Psychology at the University of Stirling in Scotland.
Gfa president, Kwesi Nyantakyi believes the appointment of Ofori came at the right time since the team goes through problems in away matches which need the services of a sports psychologist.
“We are very confident that his expertise will help turn things around and if the practice is successful, we will replicate it with the other national teams,” Nyantakyi said.
