Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi says Black Maidens can win Fifa Under-17 Women's World Cup

The Ghana FA boss believes the Black Maidens can account for France in the semi-finals tomorrow and go ahead to win the Fifa under-17 women's world cup

The President of the Ghana FA, Kwesi Nyantakyi has said the Black Maidens of Ghana are the best candidates for the Fifa Under-17 Women's World Cup trophy.

Ghana will play against France in the semi-finals on Tuesday after beating Japan 1-0 last Friday in the quarter-finals.

Mas-Ud Dramani's girls are the first African side to reach the last four of the Fifa U17 women's world cup and the first Ghanaian female team to go pass the first round of a global showpiece.

Ghana defied all odds to survive the Japan test and Nyantakyi thinks that will propel them to the final.

"They have what it takes to win the title after beating the top favourites, Japan," Nyantakyi told Ghana.

The Caf executive committee member went on to reiterate his point that these girls will dominate women's football in Africa.

"The Maidens have vindicated me with this feat and I still insist we will take women's football by storm in the next two years."

The Maidens have earned a lot of praises from Ghanaians including the first lady of Ghana, Lordina Mahama.
