“New Edubiase will prove a point in Africa” - William Mensah
The boss of the FA Cup holders serves notice that they are not going to be spectators at the inter-club competition, but are poised to cause a stir
The CEO of New Edubiase Mr. William Mensah has predicted that the club will take Africa by storm when they embark on the Caf Confederation Cup campaign. He said the FA Cup holders are not going to be spectators at the inter-club competition, but are poised to cause a stir in their maiden appearance.
“Edubiase will not be pushovers,” Mensah told the Graphic Sports. “We would also go and prove a point.”
He added that the side have drawn maximum inspiration from Berekum Chelsea's spectacular outing in their maiden Caf Champions League.
“The FA Cup triumph is a good catalyst for the boys to challenge for any trophy and we would win the league also this year,” he said.
The CEO was also quick to point out that despite selling their leading striker Emmanuel Baffour, who banged in 20 goals last season, the club still have a quality replacement for him and they will excel in the Ghana Premier League and in Africa.
