The 2008 Ghana Premier League top scorer Eric Bekoe believes winning that award again with his new club will be one of the best moments of his career.
The Berekum Chelsea new signing said winning the goal king award in the domestic top flight once more is one of his main priorities for the 2012-13 season.
The 25-year-old shot to prominence after he bagged 42 goals in all competitions for Asante Kotoko in 2008. The former Petrojet striker saw his move to the Porcupine Warriors collapsed on the eleventh hour over contractual disagreements.
“It’s a very big challenge upon me now to deliver with my new club and also an added responsibility of winning goal king title,” Bekoe told Sunyani-based Storm FM.
“I have a target of winning that accolade again after doing it with Kotoko in 2007 and I believe with the kind of players and quality technical bench we have here at Chelsea, I can realise my aim.
“If at the end of the day I play most of the matches, I believe my other players will help me score a lot more goals,” Bekoe said.
