Serious works begin on the site acquired 10 years ago by next week and it is expected to complete by the close of the yearAccra Hearts of Oak would start the construction of a hostel at Pobiman near Amasaman on the Accra-Kumasi Highway next month to reduce the huge financial burden on accommodation the club suffers.
A close source to the chairman of the club, Togbe Afede XIV, revealed to Goal.com Ghana that serious works would begin on the site next week and by the close of the year it would have been finished.
“We would start the building next month, the hostel is going to house the team for longer periods before assignments and it is part of their efforts to improve infrastructure,” the source indicated.
“Funds for the project is going to be from the majority shareholders and it would also house the proposed Hearts football academy which is going to replace the Auroras.”
The Pobiman land was acquired by the Phobians more than 10 years ago and it is now time to utilize it after they built two training pitches last year.
