Osasuna's Anthony Annan marks La Liga debut with defeat

The midfielder finally made an appearance for Osasuna in the Spanish top flight but his side were thrashed 3-1 by Blanquillos

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan played his first game for Osasuna on Saturday, but his side were beaten 3-1 by Real Zaragoza.

The 26-year-old who is on-loan from Schalke 04 was introduced into the game in the 75th minute.

But his introduction played no role as Los Rojillos were already three goals down in the 71st minute.

The Black Stars midfielder will be hoping to get more playing time after his maiden appearance.

Osasuna lie 20th on the Liga table after five matches in the Spanish top flight.
