Ghanaian defender, Samuel Inkoom, was excited that his countryman, Michael Essien finally made his Real Madrid debut on Tuesday.
Essien who is on a season-long loan at Los Blancos from Chelsea was handed a starting berth by Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho and had a decent game after lasting 65 minutes on the pitch.
The Whites won their opening Uefa Champions League match 3-2 after coming from behind twice and Manchester City only had the room to operate after the 'Bison' was substituted.
Inkoom who plays for Dnipro in Ukraine shared in the joy of his Black Stars colleague on his facebook time line.
He wrote, "I am happy for Miachael Essien for his first game which ended in a win."
