Richard Mpong's Asante Kotoko deal is co-ownership

Medeama and the Kumasi-based club will benefit in case of any future transfer involving the player outside the territories of Ghana
Hot shot Richard Mpong's move to Kumasi Asante Kotoko from Medeama is on co-ownership basis and both clubs will benefit in case of future transfers outside Ghana.

“We have sold the player outright to Kotoko but we jointly own the player based on the agreement we reached,” a management member of the club hinted Graphic Sports.

The player who has been a target of the Porcupine Warriors was signed last Friday hours before Ghana's first transfer window closed and he has been tagged as one of the main stars to propel the team forward this season.

Mpong who has featured for almost all the national teams in the country was also on the radar of Czech Republic side Slavia Praque before he decided on the Fabulous team.
