My loan move from Juventus to Sassuolo is a good decision - Richmond Boakye Yiadom
The 19-year-old is optimistic he will get more playing time at the Serie B side that will propel him to take up huge responsibilities when he returns to the Serie A team
Ghana striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom lauds his loan move from Italian Serie A champions Juventus to Serie B side Sassuolo. The 19-year-old joined the Old Lady just this summer, but had to join Sassuolo on a season-long loan deal for more playing time due to the presence of five strikers at the Turin-based club.
“I took the best decision because I want to get more playing time… taking the position of a senior player at Juve this season will be tough,” the Ghana international told Goal.com Ghana.
“I am very confident of yet another successful season there and hopefully I will go back to Juve next season ready to take on full first team challenges,” he said.
Boakye Yiadom was at Sassuolo last season on loan from his former club Genoa and almost qualified them to the Italian top flight.
The Black Stars striker is targeting another successful stint with the second tier side.
He is part of Ghana’s team to play against Malawi in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
