Juventus striker Boakye Yiadom returns on loan to Italian Serie B side Sassuolo
The young striker is returning to his former club in a bid to avoid being a bench warmer with a top club whiles he can have more playing time elsewhere to be in shape
Italian Serie A champions Juventus have loaned out Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom to his former club and Serie B side Sassuolo. The 18-year-old signed for the Old Lady early July from Genoa in a co-ownership deal worth about eight million euros.
During his loan stay at Sassuolo from Genoa he managed to score 12 goals in 34 appearances.
With the recruitment of Arsenal striker Nicklas Bentner, the Ghanaian forward will need more playing time to push for a place in the team hence the loan move.
His decision to rejoin the second-tier side follows an advice from former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, who was bent on seeing the youngster go on loan.
“It will be fine if a club come for him on loan because at the bottom of it, he will still remain a Juventus player,” Appiah told TottoJuve. “If he gains more experience and the club deems him ready then he can come back. This will be important if he wants to stay in the club.”
