Charles Taylor set to quit football as injuries hamper his career

The midfielder is being frustrated by injuries and might want to retire early from football if the situation continues in the new season
One time “lord” of Ghana football, Charles Taylor, may finally hang his boots as series of injuries are hampering his career which has already seen some major ups and downs since he shot into the limelight.

Taylor became a household name during the 2000-2001 season, but moving on and off the pitch as a result of injuries is compelling the midfield marshal to call it quits, Ghana can reveal.

Nicknamed “The Terrible Terror”, Taylor is one of the gifted players to grace the local scene, but it is now evident that the one-time mercurial midfielder will close the chapter on football soon.

The former Accra Great Olympics, Hearts of Oak, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Etoile Du Sahel player, who now represents Berekum Chelsea, has been battling with recurring injuries which has hampered his career making him not to get playing time.

Taylor who was previously the darling boy of the Black Stars is, however, not given up and is hoping that he will be fit again to show the world that there is still a lot of football left in him before finally leaving the scene.
