The top scorer of the Caf Champions League is optimistic they will defeat the four-time Africa champions at their newly-constructed stadium in LubumbashiBerekum Chelsea striker Emmanuel Clottey is confident ahead of their Caf Champions League clash with TP Mazembe on Sunday.
The prolific forward, who is the top scorer of the competition with nine goals including a hat-trick against Egyptian giants Zamalek, told Accra-based Joy FM they are heading to Lubumbashi with a winning spirit.
“The name of the team is TP Mazembe, but the players are not TP Mazembe. I know we are going to beat them looking at the quality of players we have,” the 24-year-old said.
The Black Stars player stressed their briefing ahead of the fixture is to return with at least a point.
“We are not thinking about losing or drawing, we are not coming back empty handed,” he added.
The Blues made a memorable debut in the group phase of the continental club flagship after beating the School of Art 3-2 at the Accra Sports Stadium. Clottey was the hero with his hat-trick record.
