Pete Nordsted: Two midweek tips from the Both Teams to Score market
Pete has analysed the upcoming games and believes he has found value in two matches from the midweek Premier League coupon, including Swansea's clash with Sunderland
Last weekend’s "No" selections from the both teams to score market came unstuck with Reading defeating Newcastle at St James’ Park and Michael Owen scoring an injury-time consolation goal for Stoke, to see us nursing a two-point loss. Let’s hope that our luck improves with the midweek fixtures. As always here we are following a system bet and you are advised to keep stakes reasonable and always try and obtain the best price available.
Sunderland v Swansea - Both teams to score "No" at 10/11 (1.91) with Bet365
For our first midweek match we turn to the televised match at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday night between Sunderland and Swansea. Both of these sides have shown some very good form of late and will be approaching the fixture with some confidence.
The stats suggest this will be a low-scoring encounter which will be good for our bet.In the case of Sunderland when facing teams of Swansea’s grading, both teams have not found the net in 10 of the Black Cats’ last 15 home games. In general play against all teams, both teams have scored in just six of Sunderland’s last 15 home games.
In the case of Michael Laudrup’s Swansea, both teams have not scored in eight of their opening 11 away matches this season.
When facing teams of Sunderland’s grading, then this has occurred in six of their last eight away matches. The "No" selection on both teams to score can be backed at 10/11 (1.91) with bet365.
Fulham v West Ham - Both teams to score at 11/10 (2.10) with bet365
Our other match on Wednesday night features a London derby between two sides who are not in the best of form at the moment, when Fulham take on West Ham at Craven Cottage. Although the stats suggest that this could be a high-scoring encounter, what makes this game appealing is that when facing teams of Fulham’s stature West Ham have not scored in their last five away matches and indeed the Hammers have failed to find the net in all four of their last four away matches in general.
However there is a caveat to this bet and that is in recent head-to-head matches at Craven Cottage, West Ham have won three of the last four, but with recent form suggesting at least one team could keep a clean sheet, the 11/10 (2.10) quote from bet365 appeals.
