A victory for either side would take them through from Group B in the African Cup of Nations, but Jamie Dickenson is backing another draw in Durban
Mali are the 21/20 (2.05) favourites with William Hill, and currently sit in second place behind leaders Ghana, although Patrice Carteron's side will progress if they earn a draw valued at 11/5 (3.20).
DR Congo are third in the table after two stalemates against Ghana and Niger, but need a victory against Mali priced at 12/5 (3.40) if they are to stay make it into the last eight.
Mali have the better pedigree of the two sides, having reached the semi-finals during three of the last six times the competition has been held.
Despite just edging past Niger 1-0 thanks to a late strike from captain Seydou Keita, Ghana defeated the Eagles by the same scoreline in their second group game.
Keita will be a key man again for the West African side, and at 5/4 (2.20) to score anytime could add another important goal to his international tally of 21 from 76 games.
With a draw enough to see Mali advance, DR Congo are sure to attack throughout the game however and will hope to spring a surprise result against their more illustrious opponents.
But with two draws so far during their campaign, and half of the Africa Cup of Nations games finishing all square, it would be no shock if this game were to end in a stalemate to the benefit of the more experienced squad of Mali.
