Otoo ended the 2012-13 Ghana Premier League in style after scoring three goals to seal his golden boot accolade with 20 goals in 27 appearances. The 22-year-old’s form completely influenced Hearts of Oak’s campaign as they moved from a relegation threatened position to finish fifth plus a semi-final appearance in the MTN FA Cup. No wonder, he has had some Black Stars call-ups lately.

Congratulations to Mahatma Otoo, Goal Ghana's 34th Player of the Week winner!

The Shortlist

PRINCE BAFFOE - ASANTE KOTOKO

The former Nania FC player gave Kotoko all they needed this weekend after coming from the bench to score the goal that handed the Porcupine Warriors their second league title as they beat Amidaus Professionals 1-0.

BERNARD MORRISON -HEART OF LIONS

The young attacker was a brace hero as Lions beat Berekum Chelsea 2-1 on the final day of the Ghana Premier League. Not only did his goals guarantee Heart of Lions of their safety, but also denied Berekum Chelsea of challenging Kotoko for the crown.

Richard Gadze - Ebusua Dwarfs

Gadze is another person whose name did not go unnoticed over the weekend as he scored two early goals in Dwarfs’ 4-2 victory over Berekum Arsenal. The victory Dwarfs finished in the top four ahead of closet challengers, Accra Hearts of Oak.
