0-1 St Etienne
Again, he was on hand to rescue Olympique Marseille in the French Ligue 1. Going into Sunday’s match, Marseille had dropped three points behind PSG and Lyon after both won their matches on Friday and Saturday respectively. But Ayew was the main difference in what was a really tough match. The 23-year-old scored on the stroke of half-time in the 1-0 victory over St Etienne to give the 1993 Uefa Champions League winners the three maximum points. The Stade Velodrome side has re-joined PSG and Lyon as joint Ligue 1 leaders with 38 points apiece.
Congratulations to Andre Ayew, Goal.com Ghana's 17th Player of the Week winner!

The Shortlist
ERIC BEKOE - BEREKUM CHELSEA

Bekoe combined effectively with the rest of his colleagues to end Kotoko’s unbeaten run in the Ghana Premier league. The 26-year-old was really bent on scoring against his former club and had his dream accomplished after fetching the first goal for Berekum Chelsea. Bekoe almost joined Kotoko after returning from Egypt at the start of the season but the deal fell through after disagreements on the monetary terms.

YAHAYA MOHAMMED - AMIDAUS PROFESSIONALS

Mohammed would not cease amazing football fans and pundits. The on-loan Asante Kotoko player has basically inspired the newly-prompted side in their maiden premier league campaign. The one-time defensive midfielder who has now been offered an offensive role registered his 10th goal in 12 matches after scoring the first goal in the 2-0 victory at Ebusua Dwarfs. No wonder, he has been invited into Ghana’s 26-man provisional squad for the 2013 Afcon.
