He scored the goal in the 19th minute to become the team’s leading scorer in the Italian second-tier. The victory consolidated Sassuolo’s position as the leaders of the Italian Serie B after 17 matches.

Congratulations to Boakye, Goal.com's 15th Ghana Player of the Week winner!

Honourable Mention
ISAAC COFFIE - CHIEVO

Another great display by the former Genoa player who seems to have sealed his position as a starter. The 21-year-old started his third consecutive game for the Serie A campaigners this season and was able to inject some urgency to Chievo’s play as the visitors left Cagliari with a 2-0 victory.

BRIMAH RAZAK - CD GUADALAJARA

Razak played his first game of the season on Saturday and was patted on the back by his coach, Carlos Terrazas. The 25-year-old has been clubless after leaving Tenerife in August but walked straight into the starting line-up for the Segunda side five days after joining them. Guadalajara beat Numancia 5-1 and the former Nania FC goalkeeper emerged as one of the top performers in the game.
