Juventus deserved Milan win - Giovinco

The Italy international has hailed his side's performance against the Rossoneri on Sunday and was very pleased with his first goal of the season
Sebastian Giovinco has voiced his delight with Juventus' 3-2 Serie A win over AC Milan on Sunday evening and feels the reigning champions fully deserved the full three points.

The Bianconeri fell 1-0 behind after just 20 seconds of play following Sulley Muntari's opener, but bounced back as Andrea Pirlo, Giovinco and Giorgio Chiellini all found the net before Muntari doubled his tally.

"We put in a good performance and deserved the victory, despite the occasional lapses in concentration that we paid dearly for," Giovinco was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"We conceded from their first opportunity, we need to try and concentrate for the entire game. But we played well apart from those opening 10 minutes and I think it’s an important win."

Giovinco then went on to discuss his goal and admitted that he was delighted to find the net for the first time in 2013-14.

"All goals are important. If you score on an evening like this it’s a different feeling and I’m very happy."

Juventus currently sit third in Serie A, trailing leaders Roma by two points.
