Pepe: Juventus want to make history

The winger insists the club are not content with back-to-back titles and already have their eyes set on more silverware next season
Simone Pepe says Juventus are hungry to win a third successive Serie A title and write their name into the history books.

Under the guidance of coach Antonio Conte, the Bianconeri have established themselves as Italian football's most formidable force and show no signs of letting up after a productive summer transfer window so far.

Strikers Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez have both arrived at Juventus Stadium, while defender Angelo Ogbonna joined from Torino last week and Pepe is convinced the Old Lady can triumph again next term.

"We have played some great football over the past few season,” he told reporters at a press conference.

“But we want to win a third title and we also want to have our say in Europe.

“We have reinforced during the break and now we want to write our names into the history books.”

The 29-year-old endured an injury-ravaged campaign last season, featuring for just 20 minutes before undergoing surgery on a quadriceps problem back in February.

The Bianconeri No.7 originally arrived in Turin on a loan deal from Udinese in 2010 before making a permanent €7.5 million switch a year later.
