The Italy midfielder's agent has revealed his client is not content with life among the substitutes, but has stressed he is unaware of any potential bid from Napoli
The former Palermo midfielder was a key part of the Rossoneri side last season but has been restricted to just 15 Serie A starts in 2012/13, and his representative Marco Sommella has revealed the player is far from content with life on the bench.“Nocerino is not happy with how the campaign has gone and it would be useless to pretend otherwise,” Sommella told Radio CRCon Friday.
“He was a protagonist last season, scoring a number of goals, and he didn't expect to be placed to one side."
Reports have surfaced that Napoli have met with Milan officials to discuss a possible deal, but Sommella insists it is still too early to talk of a move.
“If there has been a meeting between Milan and Napoli then I don’t know about it. It is premature to talk about the transfer market now," he continued.
“[Napoli coach] Walter Mazzarri is a fan of Nocerino, but it’s not the coach who has to call up a player. It is down to clubs and agents to take a negotiation forward.
“If Napoli want him then they’ll have to contact the Milan owners in a bid to set up talks.”
