Asamoah is a born actor, fumes Genoa coach De Canio after Juventus defeat

The Grifone coach was not impressed with the referee for awarding a penalty kick when the Ghanaian took a tumble in the penalty area and went on to criticise several decisions
Genoa coach Luigi De Canio has lashed out at Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah in the wake of his side's 3-1 Serie A loss on Sunday afternoon, accusing the Ghana international of diving.

The former Udinese star came off the bench after 55 minutes of play and won Juve a spot-kick some 20 minutes later, after going to the ground just a bit too easily in the opinion of De Canio.

"Compliments to Asamoah, he really is a born actor," De Canio sarcastically stated at his post-match press conference.

De Canio also criticised the referee for his decision not to dismiss Leonardo Bonucci in the first-half, while admitting that Genoa should have put the match to bed after the break.

"I think Leonardo Bonucci should have been sent off before the break, as it was a clear scoring opportunity.

"In the space of a few seconds we went from possibly going 2-0 up to drawing 1-1. That was the decisive moment of the match."

Genoa have dropped to 11th spot in the Serie A table following Sunday's defeat.
