Inter need to be patient, says Branca
The Serie A giants' director feels they have a bright future ahead of them, but added that the 2010 Champions League winners need a bit of time to hit top form
Inter technical director Marco Branca has stressed that the Nerazzurri need time to find the right balance, and has asked for patience. The Giuseppe Meazza side were surprisingly beaten 3-1 by Roma at the weekend, but the defeat did not come as a shock to the 47-year-old, who feels that his side still have work to do.
"Everyone has shown great potential. Potential in terms of fitness, character, technique and movement," Branca stated to Sky Sport 24.
"However, when we look at all these factors together - new players, the clear approach that the coach and club have taken - we just need to be a little patient to find that balance in the side.
"That is what will make the difference. I think the three points are the most important thing on the night itself, but I think there’s reason to be positive because the signs are good.
"We made the most of the opportunities that this transfer market could offer us and we are satisfied with the potential we have. Now we need to work on this potential."
Inter have collected three points from their opening two Serie A games.
