Sinclair was an unused substitute for the Premier League champions' win over QPR on Sunday but featured as one of three permitted players over the age of 23 alongside Gareth Barry, who is returning from injury.
As exclusively revealed by Goal.com in mid-August, Barry's spell on the sidelines had been prolonged due to the knock-on effects of the surgery which kept him out of Euro 2012.
The Reds took the lead through Mark Pelosi five minutes before half-time but, under the watch of first-team manager Brendan Rodgers, were pegged back by Jordi Hiwula just three minutes later.
City then got themselves ahead when Denis Suarez converted a penalty with 20 minutes remaining, however Pelosi doubled his tally and salvaged a point with just ten minutes left on the clock.
Both sides now face a long spell without first-team action due to the international break, with City's next clash a trip to Stoke on September 15 and Liverpool also having to travel as they face Sunderland on the same day.
