The Argentina international has confirmed his knee is not as severe as first feared after being stretchered off against Southampton, and he is now set to start physiotherapy
The 24-year-old was hugely influential in his debut season in England, scoring 23 goals in 34 league games, including a memorable last-minute winner against QPR on the final day of the season which secured the league title for his side.
The striker appeared set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after being stretchered off inside the opening 10 minutes of their season opener after a strong challenge by Saints full-back Nathaniel Clyne.
However, Aguero has dispelled such fears, and has confirmed his condition has improved and he is ready to begin his recovery.
"Thank you all for your concern. I'm better but still resting with an ice pack on the swollen area," Aguero said via Twitter.
"And very eager to start recovery physio tomorrow! I'll keep you posted. All the best!"
