Kaizer Chiefs boss Kaizer Motaung has promised that AmaKhosi will represent the country in the next edition of the Caf Champions League.
The newly crowned PSL champions were initially thought to be planning to boycott the Africa's biggest club competition.
"We will definitely play in the Caf Champions League, for the pride of the nation we have to," said Motaung Senior during a live TV interview on Thursday night.
Despite the challenges that come with participating in the Caf Champions League especially when playing away from home, Motaung is confident that Chiefs could withstand them.
However, he wants Caf to eradicate all the negatives that influence African football so badly, as he mulled over what happened to Pirates in Lubumbashi.
"Surely there are things that need to be rectified by Caf. We heard what Pirates went through in DRC and those are some of the things that need to be attended to," added Motaung.
With Motaung confirming their participation in the African Champions League next year, it will be Chiefs' first competitive Caf competition since their withdrawal from Caf Confederation Cup that came with a four-year suspension back in 2005.
