Ethiopia announce final 23-man squad for Afcon

The Walya Antelopes have released the team list that will take on Zambia, Nigeria and Burkina Faso in Group at this month’s continental showpiece

Ethiopia have announced their squad for the Africa Cup of Nations holding in South Africa later this month.

Coach Bishaw Sewnet listed top striker Saladin Said of Egyptian club Wadi Deglain his side. Said scored a brace against Nigeria during a qualifying game for the 2012 Afcon.

The team includes nine players from Ethiopian champions Saint George and eight players from Dedebit. Only three players are based aborad - Egypt, Sweden and the USA.

The Walya Antelopes are drawn in Group C alongside defending champions Zambia, Nigeria and Burkina Faso.
