Libya coach Abdelhafid Arbiche declared on Tuesday that two of his defenders Younes Al Shibani of Egyptian side Ismaily SC and Al Allouni called up for the return leg of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final round qualifying had refused to report to camp in Tunis, where the group is currently fine tuning ahead of the October 14 meeting.
The Mediterranean Knights lost the first leg 1-0 while hosting Algeria in the Moroccan city of Casablanca last month.
The team will likely face an uphill battle in Blida against the Fennec Foxes as they will have to do without another key defender Ali Salama of Ahly Benghazi following a two-match suspension from Caf.
“It is up to the officials of the Libyan football federation to handle the situation after the two players refused to honour my invitation,” Arbiche told Algeria news service APS.
“As for me, I think I will have to make do with the players available and there is nothing else I can do.”
The Libyan team will play a friendly against Tunisian club Menzel Bourguiba on Tuesday before leaving for Algeria on Friday.
