Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Media Officer reveals to Goal.com Kenya that the Black Stars will jet into the country on Sunday for a training camp
"Yes, they (Black Stars) delegation have sent us a communique regarding their stopover (in Kenya) and we have welcomed them. The team of local based players should jet in on 8th of October (2012), while the foreign based legion should trickle in later," Football Kenya Federation media liaison officer John Kariuki told Goal.com Kenya.
The team will not play and build up matches during their stay in Kenya. The West African nation need a barren draw or even afford a 1-0 defeat in the return leg scheduled for the weekend of October 13-14, to ensure qualification to the 2013 African Cup of Nations.
Their Central African opponents who lost 2-0 in the first leg need to win by three clear goals to qualify. The last time the 'Black Stars', who are ranked 31st on the latest FIFA ranking, pitched camp in Nairobi was during the previous edition of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers where they beat Sudan 2-0 to consolidate their top spot and qualify for the tournament where they finished fourth.
