Quaresma is not part of my plans, says Besiktas coach

The Portuguese attacker is on his way out of the Turkish club, who narrowly missed out on landing Nene in the summer transfer window
Besiktas could look to replace winger Ricardo Quaresma in the winter, following comments from boss Samet Aybaba.

Despite an unbeaten start to their Super Lig campaign, the Turkish giants may again attempt to bring Brazilian attacker Nene to the Inonu Stadium in January, after they failed to complete a deal for the Paris Saint-Germain attacker in August.

"Quaresma is not in my plans. Quaresma's agreement before the [Elazıgspor] match was to avoid the game as he was asked," explained Aybaba, speaking to TRT.

"Yet despite this request he came, in spades. This type of behaviour cannot happen."

The Besiktas coach spoke openly of his interest in Nene, admitting that they were very close to sealing the deal in the summer.

"We agreed on everything for Nene. [The] administration made great sacrifices. However, a Russian team stepped in at the last moment and he couldn't sign," he conceded.
