Internacional president Luciano Davi has asserted that striker Leandro Damiao will not be joining Tottenham before the transfer window closes.
As Goal.com exclusively revealed on Monday, Spurs recently had an £18 million bid for their long-term target rejected and talks have broken down over a fee, with the Brazilian club keen to hold onto the Selecao hitman, who excelled at the Olympic Games, at least until the end of their domestic season.
"Our intention is that Leandro Damiao doesn't leave this year," Davi declared to Globo Esporte.

"He is an Internacional player until December. Their offer wasn't relevant and we are not interested in selling him.
"Tottenham came to us but their offer didn't match our valuation of him. Leandro Damiao is a national team striker and we have to value that."
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas spoke on Sunday of his focus on securing targets in midfield rather than attack, with another Brazilian, Willian, set for a switch to White Hart Lane.
