That's all from me for tonight guys, what an exciting game that was! Thanks for joining me, and for all of your input on Twitter. Good night everyone.
FULL-TIME: REAL MADRID 2-2 BORUSSIA DORTMUND A superb free-kick in the 89th minute from Mesut Ozil secured Madrid a point tonight, after the away side had looked set to seal a famous double over their Spanish opponents. Marco Reus gave Dortmund the lead with a crashing half volley before Pepe evened things up in the 34th minute with a firm header. An Alvaro Arbeloa o.g restored the away side's lead just before half-time, and while Madrid spent much of the second half attacking it took them until the final moments to salvage a draw which they did thanks to Ozil's wondrous left foot.
90' + 4'
AND THERE IS THE FINAL WHISTLE!! It's finished all square here.
90' + 3'
Leitner curls the corner on to the head of Hummels but his effort is off target and drifts wide of Casillas' left-hand post.
90' + 2'
A great tackle from Essien stops a Dortmund attack in its tracks on the left, but the ball does roll out for a corner to the away side. One chance to retake their lead perhaps?
90' + 1'
The fourth official signals for three minutes of added time...
Goal Mesut Özil
OZIL SCORES!!!!! MADRID HAVE EQUALISED!! The Madrid attacker curls the free kick beautifully into the bottom right-hand corner, with a little help from the post, to draw his side level so late in the game!
Madrid have another free kick in a promising position. This one is 30 yards from goal, right of centre...
Ronaldo fires a free kick from a perfect position 25 yards from goal straight into the wall. What an opportunity that was for Madrid!
It is backs-against-the-wall stuff from Dortmund at the moment, with numerous players putting last-ditch challenges in and Grosskreutz clearing one effort from Callejon off the line with Weidenfeller beaten.
Callejon is flagged offside as he looks to latch on to a pass from Kaka down the left, and despite the decision being correct, the youngster is still furious with the officials for pulling play back as he would have been clean through on goal.
Ozil whips a fine cross in from the right that Ronaldo glances onwards to Di Maria but the Argentine cannot sort his body out in time to divert the ball towards goal and ends up kneeing it out of play for a Dortmund goal kick.
We're into the final 10 minutes here, Dortmund still lead 2-1! What a result this would be for the German side if they can hang on for all three points.
Madrid have gone three at the back here following the introduction of Kaka. Dortmund are defending deep but they are doing it very well at present.
IMPORTANT SAVE FROM WEIDENFELLER!! The Dortmund goalkeeper pulls off a strong stop to keep out Ronaldo's close-range effort before Kaka went down under a challenge from Kehl. That was superb defending from the Dortmund captain, he got his body in front of Kaka there and shepherded the ball away from the Brazilian.
Mourinho is going for it here!! On comes Kaka for Arbeloa. That is a very attacking final substitution for the home side.
A good block from Hummels deflects a Callejon shot away from danger as Madrid continue to push forward in search of an equaliser.
ELSEWHERE IN GROUP D UPDATE: Sounds like a real humdinger over in Manchester, with City now drawing 2-2 with Ajax at the Etihad Stadium.
Sven Bender is coming on for the goalscorer Marco Reus here, as Dortmund make their first change of the evening.
Di Maria sends a driving effort from 30 yards over the bar when he really should have played in Callejon who was screaming for a pass on the right-hand side of the Dortmund penalty area. Poor decision-making from Madrid's No. 22.
No goals in this second half, despite Madrid's two substitutions at half-time. When will Mourinho cast his last throw of the dice as his side search for a breakthrough? And who will it be?
Madrid are trying to work the ball forward as quickly as they can to Callejon and Ronaldo to try and catch Dortmund's defence out but they are struggling against a determined defence. Kehl in particular has been shielding his backline brilliantly and organising his team in this second half.
NEARLY A MIX-UP BETWEEN VARANE AND CASILLAS!! The Madrid duo almost supply a chance for Lewandowski on a plate as neither clears the ball but fortunately for the pair Casillas eventually manages to throw himself on the ball under pressure from the Dortmund frontman.
They too waste the chance to threaten from a set piece though as Ramos is penalised for a foul on Piszczek inside the Dortmund box.
Yellow Card Mats Hummels
The German side's set piece amounts to nothing though, with Madrid immediately attacking through Ronaldo and winning their own free kick after Hummels slides in late on the Portuguese attacker.
Xabi Alonso catches Lewandowski with a studs-up challenge inside Madrid's half and Dortmund have a chance to work the ball into the penalty area.
STAT: Real Madrid have won their last seven Champions League matches at the Santiago Bernabeu.
There's some Twitter love for Kaka tonight, with a number of you clamouring for his introduction in this second half. I'm not sure if that's likely with Mourinho having made two changes at half-time but we will see!
WEIDENFELLER SAVES AT THE FEET OF CALLEJON!! The Dortmund goalkeeper rushes from his goal line to block the attacker's effort and then hack the ball away.
Ramos is up on his feet and looks fit to continue, much to Jose Mourinho's relief on the sidelines.
Grosskreutz is booked for a foul on Ramos and Madrid have a free kick 40 yards out. Alonso floats the set piece into the box and for the second time this evening Ramos is clattered into by one of his team-mates, on this occasion Pepe is the culprit.
Yellow Card Kevin Großkreutz
GREAT TACKLE FROM SUBOTIC!! Ronaldo finds Di Maria with an outrageous reverse pass but Subotic is across to slide in and divert the ball away from the Argentine attacker as he looked to bear down on goal.
GOOD CHALLENGE FROM ALONSO! The Madrid midfielder steals the ball off Reus inside Casillas' penalty area as the tricky German attempts to fashion a shooting opportunity.
Madrid must be wary of Dortmund's potency on the counter attack in this second half. The home side are throwing men forward but Jurgen Klopp's team continue to look dangerous on the break.
STAT: The Bundesliga outfit last won a Champions League away game at AC Milan in March 2003.
Ronaldo unleashes an effort from distance that is miles from testing Weidenfeller as the ball flies high and wide of the Dortmund goal. The home side are knocking at the door here in search of an equaliser.
Ozil hits a cross-shot at goal from the right side of the area that Weidenfeller does well to parry away from danger. Madrid have been firmly on top so far in this second half!
Callejon has made an immediate difference in this second half! While Higuain was barely moving just before the break, the Madrid canterano is buzzing all over the place. After having a goal chalked off a moment ago he nearly beats Weidenfeller again with a whipped shot from the edge of the box only to see his effort curl just past the post.
CALLEJON EQUALIS..... Hang on, no he hasn't! That is a late call from the linesman on the far side!! But it is the right one. The Madrid substitute thought he had made it 2-2 with a really well-taken finish in off the right-hand post but the linesman put his flag up for offside and the goal was ruled out, much to the Madrid players' irritation.
So Mourinho hasn't been afraid to make changes here, two substitutions at the break for Madrid!
Madrid get this second half underway...
Madrid are making changes, Jose Callejon replaces Gonzalo Higuain in attack, while Michael Essien is also coming on for Luka Modric.
The awful 'Call Me Maybe' blasting out over the speaker system at the Bernabeu at the moment. Nobody wants to hear that.
Right guys, I want to hear your take on that first half, and what you think will happen after the break. Send your thoughts over to @charliefscott on the Twitter machine.
It's been an action-packed first 45 minutes at the Bernabeu with both teams showing their attacking intent over the course of the half. Dortmund have barely put a foot wrong though, as they have made the most of their chances to score two goals despite Madrid enjoying 64% of possession.
HALF-TIME: REAL MADRID 1-2 BORUSSIA DORTMUND Jurgen Klopp's side have been brilliant so far in this match and deservedly lead courtesy of two finely-taken goals from first Marco Reus and then Mario Gotze. Pepe had equalised for Madrid in the 34th minute with a firm header, but Gotze then made it 2-1 to the away side with a little help from Arbeloa on the brink of half-time.
45' + 1'
And that is the last action of the half as the referee blows his whistle to signal half-time.
Own Goal Arbeloa
AN OWN GOAL FROM ARBELOA RESTORES DORTMUND'S LEAD!! The full-back diverts the ball past his own goalkeeper after Gotze had done brilliantly to juggle the ball inside the Madrid box and draw a challenge from the defender. 2-1 to Dortmund!
WHAT A TACKLE FROM VARANE!! The centre-back nicks the ball off Ilkay Gundogan's toe as he storms into the Madrid box and then clears the ball away. The Dortmund midfielder would have been through one-on-one with Casillas but for the young Frenchman's timely interception there!
Ronaldo is flagged offside when he clearly believes he was onside. That was quite the look of disdain that the Madrid forward just sent the linesman's way!
The home side reacted well to going behind to Reus' goal in the 28th minute, and have been well on top since then, with Pepe's 34th minute equaliser deserved at this stage in the game.
Jose Callejon is limbering up on the sidelines which suggests Higuain's contribution may shortly be coming to a premature end after he seemed to strain his hamstring midway through this first half.
Alonso swings a free kick from the left into the Dortmund box but Ramos' attempt to meet the cross is blocked by his own team-mate, Higuain. Not great communication there from the two Madrid men!
STAT: Real Madrid have now scored in all of their last 24 Champions League group matches.
Kehl catches Alonso in the middle of the pitch and Madrid have a free kick and a chance to send the ball upfield.
The 19-year-old centre-back Raphael Varane did brilliantly in the build-up to that Madrid goal by the way, dispossessing Grosskreutz on the edge of the box and sending the ball inadvertently out to Ozil on the left.
Assist Mesut Özil
GOALLL!!! PEPE EQUALISES FOR MADRID!! The centre-back plants a bullet header past Weidenfeller from six yards after Mesut Ozil had sent an enticing cross in from the left-hand side.
That goal is Marco Reus' second in the Champions League, in just his fourth appearance! Not a bad games-to-goal ratio!
Dortmund are good value for their lead here. Despite Madrid leading in terms of possession the away side have the one goal advantage thanks to that Reus strike. Klopp's side have produced chances in this first half, while being superb when they haven't had the ball by hassling Madrid's players at every opportunity.
Arbeloa did little to stop Reus as he raced through on goal before smashing that shot past Casillas. Madrid continue to miss their injured left-back pair of Marcelo and Fabio Coentrao.
Assist Robert Lewandowski
Goal Marco Reus
GOALLL!!! REUS GIVES DORTMUND THE LEAD!! The German youngster sends a fabulous half-volleyed strike past Casillas from the right-hand side of the penalty area that beats the Madrid goalkeeper at his near post. Lewandowski provided the assist with a superb header to set Reus up. 1-0 to Dortmund!
ELSEWHERE IN GROUP D UPDATE: Manchester City have pulled one back in the group's other match, with Yaya Toure scoring for Roberto Mancini's side. The score now Manchester City 1-2 Ajax.
Higuain looks in a bit of trouble for the home side here, and is holding his hamstring and looking towards the bench midway through this first half. That's something I'll certainly be keeping an eye on.
Madrid have a chance to test Dortmund from a corner on the right but Pepe puts paid to that by elbowing Lewandowski in the head and conceding a free kick. I'd love to be inside Pepe's head for a day, who knows what goes on!
The Madrid No. 7 was furious with Higuain for crossing that ball in the air, if it had been on the ground it would have been a much easier chance for the Portugal international!
RONALDO HEADS WIDE!! Higuain springs the Dortmund offside trap on the right before crossing to Ronaldo but the imposing attacker cannot direct his headed effort towards goal as the ball drifts wide of Weidenfeller's goal.
Ronaldo is not enjoying himself so far tonight! Under no pressure from any Dortmund players he goes crashing to the turf after tripping over his own feet. That wasn't pretty.
Hummels is winning everything in the air at the moment for Dortmund, as Madrid launch a couple of crosses into Weidenfeller's penalty area from the right-hand side. How Hummels didn't get on the Ballon d'Or shortlist I do not know!
Pepe clatters into Reus and Klopp's side have a free kick 40 yards from goal. Reus takes the set piece himself but his long pass into the Madrid box is overhit and runs out for a goal kick to the home side.
ELSEWHERE IN GROUP D UPDATE: Manchester City 0-2 Ajax.
Ugly stuff from Ramos!! The Madrid full-back goes hurtling into Grosskreutz and concedes a free-kick inside Dortmund's half.
Modric tries to thread a pass through to Ronaldo as the Madrid man ghosts into the Dortmund box but Hummels reads the play well to intercept the pass and put a stop to Madrid's attack.
Alonso's arching free-kick is easily cleared by Mats Hummels inside his own penalty area and Dortmund immediately launch a blistering counter attack. The ball eventually lands at Grosskreutz's feet 15 yards from the Madrid goal but his shot is straight at Casillas and the Spain international is able to parry the ball away.
CYNICAL BLOCK FROM KEHL!! The Dortmund captain knows exactly what he is doing as he steps in front of Cristiano Ronaldo to stop the Portuguese forward from attacking the German side's goal. Free-kick to Madrid.
Di Maria goes tumbling to the floor under a challenge from Schmelzer in front of the dugouts, completing four full sideways rolls in the process. Impressive stuff from the Argentine, there wasn't much in the challenge mind...
The away side are not sitting back here! They are attacking Madrid down the wings already, just as Jurgen Klopp promised before the game.
ELSEWHERE IN GROUP D UPDATE: Manchester City 0-1 Ajax. Siem De Jong has scored for the Dutch side to give them the lead in Manchester.
SUPERB BREAK FROM SCHMELZER!! The Dortmund left-back nearly repeats his goalscoring exploits from the last match between these two sides but is thwarted by a smart stop from Iker Casillas low to his right.
Die Borussen have reportedly taken 10,000 fans to the Spanish capital, with the city awash with yellow and black in the build-up to the game.
Xabi Alonso sprays a diagonal pass from the left side of the centre circle to Angel Di Maria on the right-hand side but the Argentina international mishits his cross and Dortmund can retrieve the ball.
Take a bow Mr. Sebastian Kehl by the way. The Dortmund captain is playing with a meaty face mask this evening having suffered a facial injury during his side's 0-0 draw with Stuttgart at the weekend. I can think of a few footballers who wouldn't go to such trouble...
Lewandowski sprints down the left with the ball at his feet for Dortmund but his pull-back fails to find a team-mate and Pepe can hack the ball away for his side.
Madrid have come racing out of the blocks here at the Bernabeu, with first that chance for Higuain and then right-back Sergio Ramos having a shot from range blocked by Kevin Grosskreutz.
EARLY CHANCE FOR HIGUAIN!! The Argentine goes racing through on goal but cannot quite flick the ball past Roman Weidenfeller, with the Dortmund goalkeeper rushing off his line to punch the ball away to safety.
AND WE ARE OFF... Dortmund get the ball rolling and give an immediate sign of their attacking intent by working the ball quickly forward to Robert Lewandowski. Raphael Varane is in the right place to stop the attack though and Madrid are able to bring the ball away.
Both teams are out on the pitch here at the Santiago Bernabeu and we are just minutes away from kick-off!
I CAN CONFIRM THE GOAL POSTS ARE IN PLACE AND READY FOR KICK-OFF... Last time Dortmund travelled to Madrid was for the Champions League semi-final in 1998. The match was delayed that day because the posts at one end of the pitch collapsed just before the game started. No such mayhem tonight thank goodness!

Without further ado, let me give you both team's starting XIs:
These two teams met on matchday three back in October, with Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund side triumphing 2-1 on that occasion thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski and Marcel Schmelzer. That win in Germany sent Dortmund top of the group coming into matchday four, with Madrid just one point behind them in second place.
