Aduana are hoping to bounce back after losing their first Brong Ahafo derby in mid-week when they trip to Berekum to face the Blues whilst the homeside eye their dominance
Last season's Ghana Premiership runners-up Berekum Chelsea lock horns with regional rivals Aduana Stars in a titanic clash at the Berekum Golden City Park on Sunday in a game which promises lots of fireworks and excitements.
Clashes between the two giants from the Brong Ahafo region have always been a topliner in the Ghanaian league with both sides eyeing the bragging rights over their next town rivals.
The last four meetings between these two clubs have seen the Blues winning two and drawing one with Aduana having a solitary win.
Aduana seems to always struggle in the Brong Ahafo derbies as just last Wednesday they lost at the Osagyefo Agyemang Badu Park to newly promoted Bechem United where as Chelsea are also finding it difficult to get on track after losing to Amidaus Professionals and subsequent draws.
Tactically, it is going to be an open game with the side which takes its chances winning the game. Aduana Stars skipper Daniel Darkwah, who has been phenomenal since last season, comes up against Yaw Alexander and others who have also proven key to the fortunes of Chelsea over the years.
The Dormaa-based club who are being handled by veteran coach JE Sarpong needs to go all out for a win to appease their fans and the coach must also prove that he can do the job as a section of the Aduana supporters are still calling for the come back of coach Holy Ameyaw who steered them to sixth-place last season.
Moreover, sensational Godfred Saka, central defender Emmanuel Akuoko, and one time local Black Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams will have to be at their utmost best if they want to come out from Berekum with at least a point as Chelsea who are also known as Berekum FC are looking forward to their second three maximum points at home.
Striker Latif Salifu, skipper Mohammed Bassit, Patrick Cole, left back Alfred Arthur, Edmund Asiedu, Bosson Laudry and defensive pillar Ahmed Ahmed can collect all the three points at home for Chelsea if they eschew complacency.
