The Miners’ poor run at home continued as they collected a point on matchday-11 in the domestic top flightA ten-man Tema Youth frustrated AshantiGold at the Len Clay Stadium with a 1-1 score line on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.
The game started with the Miners taking a 12th minute lead through Aaron Amoah, but they could not hold on to their lead before the interval.
Tema Youth's Bright Adjei got the equaliser for the visiting side two minutes after Ashgold’s opener.
Things got worse for the Harbour Boys when their player James Akaminko was given the marching orders by referee S.B. Bortey.
Ashgold throughout the remaining minutes could still not capitalise on their numerical advantage to slot in more goals. Both sides saw an attacking approach in the second half but they failed to convert the scoring opportunities that came their way.
Ashgold are now sixth on the league log with 16 points whiles Tema Youth occupy the 11th position with 12 points.
