From Jonathan Akpoborie, former Nigeria international: "Yes I will say that it is a good draw for Nigeria. We have the team and players to beat Ethiopia, home and away. Our boys are presently playing very well," Akpoborie told Goal.

"I want to say we should be careful against the Ethiopians. They may not have the quality of our players, but we should not underrate them in anyway.

"We should take it easy. Prepare hard. Play hard and get the result from the first game in Addis Ababa. We should respect them and give them their due.

"We have the advantage and we must use it well," Akpoborie sounded off.

Former Nigeria coach Christian Chukwu just told Goal:"It's a good fixture for us. Our preparation has been going on well and we should continue until we get to Brazil. We need to add one or two friendlies with countries that altitude like Ethiopia. Kenya has the same climate, so it could be good."

Ghana and Esperance defender Harrison Afful to Happy FM: I trust our players will do well and we’ll qualify. We should not underrate the Egyptians. Every team that meets Ghana plays differently so we should not underrate them at all. We need the early goals and that should be in our first game else they will frustrate us. We have done our homework well and I’m very sure our toil will pay off as we face Egypt.
