El Tri recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win over the U.S. in World Cup qualifier thanks to a late goal from their captain in Columbus, Ohio.
After Mexico's historic win over the USA, the hard-working manager says there's no substitute for preparation when heading into difficult road atmospheres to play qualifiers.
The shift to a 3-5-2 led to a terrible first half against Mexico, but a move back to the 4-4-2 had the U.S. headed in the right direction before Rafa Marquez's winner.
El Tri got a first-half goal to make sure the fateful result wouldn't come into play and fought back to get a historic victory on American soil.
