Victor Valdes has never denied his like for Premier League but he has not yet confirmed his destination after leaving Barcelona.
The Catalonian goalkeeper has been linked with the likes of Monaco and Manchester City and the rumour of Valdes moving to Manuel Pellegrini's side has recently become stronger.
With Joe Hart's form inconsistent during the season, the Spanish international would provide excellent competition.
The 32-year-old recently admitted the lure of a move to the Premier League is of interest to him, with his future beyond the end of the contract yet to be decided.
"I've always identified with your football, the way the supporters live the game and the respect they show they players," he said.
"It is one of the biggest leagues in the world, with the best clubs in the world and, without doubt, it's a very good option for me."
Barcelona thumped Osasuna 7-0 on Sunday and, unsurprisingly, Valdes enjoyed a quiet night, with his only moment of note coming with the scores at 0-0 with a key save.
He was called into action just three times in all, with a passing completion rate 93.33 per cent.
