Olivier Giroud followed up his two goals against Indonesia with a hat-trick this time around, supported ably by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ignasi Miquel and a double from youngster Chuba Akpom.
Chelsea also enjoyed a win in Asia but there was just one goal for Jose Mourinho's side, Romelu Lukaku converting a penalty won by debutant full-back Wallace to down Thailand All-Stars.
Southampton began their calendar of pre-season matches with a win against Spanish third-tier opposition in Llagostera. Jay Rodriguez was the hero for the Saints as he netted either side of a David Cano strike to ensure a positive start.
There was a first victory in charge of Everton for new manager Roberto Martinez, the Toffees running out comfortable winners at Accrington Stanley. Darron Gibson, Victor Anichebe, Kevin Mirallas and Leon Osman were the scorers as the Premier League outfit saw off their League Two opponents.
Elsewhere, Bryan Ruiz took to the field against his boyhood club Alajeulense as Fulham's tour of Costa Rica continued. The 27-year-old scored and assisted Steve Sidwell's opening goal as the Cottagers recorded a 3-1 win, with Dimitar Berbatov also on the scoresheet.
