Perhaps the biggest sign of Benteke's success is that he has replaced England international Darren Bent in the side, with the prolific former Sunderland man unable to work his way past the 22-year-old in the first-team picture.
Already into double figures in his first English top-flight season, Benteke's pace and power have troubled the best of defences this country has to offer, with Manchester United and, in particular, Liverpool's back lines having found themselves on the wrong end of a Benteke battering.
He has also muscled in on the crowded scene in Belgium's set-up, notching four goals in five games this term for Marc Wilmots' side, while teams such as Arsenal and Manchester City have been mentioned as holding an interest in him.
