2. Cazorla stars alongside Ribery and Muller

4-2-3-1: Neuer; Lahm, Dante, Vermaelen, Alaba; Schweinsteiger, Wilshere; Ribery, Cazorla, Muller; Mandzukic.
Manuel Neuer belongs among the best in the world. There are few better than the 26-year-old former Schalke man and Wojciech Szczesny is not among them.
Philipp Lahm and the highly talented David Alaba are obvious choices as full-backs. The young Austrian is in tremendous form this season, especially after the winter break.
Dante, the Brazil international who many fans and experts doubted when he joined Bayern last summer, is picked after impressing at the Allianz Arena. He is partnered by Thomas Vermaelen, the Arsenal captain, who has struggled this season but benefits from Holger Badstuber's injury and Jerome Boateng's suspension.
In the centre of midfield, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Jack Wilshere seem the best choice. Schweinsteiger is the anchor of Bayern's smooth running machine again. Wilshere has been, without doubt, Arsenal's best performer recently. Without him, results would have been a lot worse.
The positions on the wings are occupied by Franck Ribery and Thomas Muller, who are both having outstanding seasons. Ribery is a real threat and is perhaps enjoying his best run of form since joining Bayern, while Muller, with 15 goals and 12 assists in 29 games, is keeping Arjen Robben out of the side.
In the middle, Santi Cazorla has the edge over Toni Kroos. Cazorla had a great start to the season and is more experienced than the young German, so my vote goes to the former Spanish footballer of the year.
Mario Mandzukic gets the vote to play as the lone striker. He was certainly not the "bomb" for Munich's attack that Uli Hoeness promised but the former Wolfsburg man has won over his critics and kept Mario Gomez on the bench in important games. He is far more dangerous than Olivier Giroud.
