What to look out for in world football this weekend
1. Africa Cup of Nations final
This weekend sees the climax of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in South Africa, with the Super Eagles of Nigeria set to face the Stallions of Burkina Faso.
The west African affair provides the Burkinabe with their first ever Afcon final appearance, while Nigeria will be aiming to replicate their 1994 victory. The final is a repeat of the group stage game earlier in the competition, which ended 1-1.
If Nigeria win, Stephen Keshi will have tasted Afcon victory as both a player - in 1994 - and coach.
To add extra spice to the clash, Burkina Faso have successfully appealed against key player Jonathan Pitroipa's dismissal in the semi-final win over Ghana.
Pitroipa will set to miss Sunday's Afcon final after picking up two yellow cards in their surprise penalty shootout success over Ghana.
The winger, who has scored twice in the tournament, was sent off three minutes from the end of extra-time for diving but replays showed that he had been knocked to the ground after tangling with an opponent.
